Ron Cook, the longtime manager of the Navarre Walmart, was officially declared retired at a celebration held by his co-workers May 24.

The Santa Rosa County 4-H Poultry Judging Team is now set after the club recently held try-outs for the team.  Twelve youth will form three Poultry Judging teams.

The Animal Welfare Club of Woodlawn Beach Middle School has been busy this year. So far, the student club has gathered food and supplies to give to local rescues facilities and shelters, as well as organizing a spay and neuter informational campaign and “Pets are Forever” campaign to ensure that pets receive the love and necessities they deserve.
