Santa Rosa County Commissioners today are expected to approve a $5,000 proposal from the Florida Association of County Managers (FACM) to help recruit a replacement for long-time County Administrator Hunter Walker.

The Saenger Theatre has been selected as a 2015 Prime Site Award winner by Facilities Magazine, an entertainment industry magazine for booking agents, promoters and talent buyers. The Saenger will be featured in a special section of the August issue of Facilities Magazine. 

Four Northwest Florida school districts serving military-related students will receive millions more in state aid next year, thanks to a budget initiative by Sen. Don Gaetz (R-Niceville) and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fort Walton Beach). The special funding was included in the budget approved by Gov. Rick Scott.
