Babies springing up at Gulf Breeze Zoo

Many of the babies have been born in the past month, including a gazelle; a lamb; an antelope; emus; and patas, spider and squirrel monkeys.

2013 Python Challenge yields 68 Burmese pythons

Competitors in the 2013 Python Challenge trekked through more than a million acres of swamps and sawgrass in search of well-camouflaged Burmese pythons. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced the results last week: 68 Burmese pythons killed during the Jan. 12-Feb. 10 competition.
