Blue ribbons show support for law enforcement
It was a simple message. “Would our town be interested in showing support for police officers on September 26th-30th? Many other cities in the U.S. are showing their support on this month. I am willing to make lots of blue bows if I can get the ribbon this week. We could “paint the town blue” to show our appreciation,” wrote Tina Bridges on a local social media site.

Navarre Fishing Rodeo
Set to take place October 3-4, the Navarre Fishing Rodeo is in its third year and has already become one of the most popular rodeos among anglers on the Emerald Coast. It has even been added to the calendar of Santa Rosa County’s 12th Annual Beaches to Woodlands Tour. The tournament plans to highlight the abundance of fish swimming through area waters and the different methods for catching them.

The Recall is history
“Alex Crawford is removed from the board of directors effective upon the date of the mailing of this order,” stated a final order dated Aug. 17, 2015. Therefore, the recall was deemed successful seven months after an arduous community-wide effort. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes (DBPR) issued a “Final Order” on Aug. 17 – more than three months after Alex Crawford was served April 29 with 2,311 recall ballots from the members of Holley by the Sea.

The Comprehensive Plan is an official public document adopted by the Santa Rosa County Commission that sets forth the county’s policies and guides decision-making related to the physical development of the county.
