State Reps. Mike Hill and Doug Broxson partnered May 8 with Farm Share, a nationwide relief organization, to distribute food and supplies to Santa Rosa County residents impacted by the flood. Even before the distribution officially began at 10 a.m., cars were lining up in the Winn Dixie parking lot waiting to receive food and supplies.

Some Holley-Navarre Water System (HNWS) customers have noticed the water coming out of their faucets this week smells and tastes different from normal. HNWS General Manager Ken Walker said the water is different but it is safe to drink and meets all drinking water standards.

Paul and Cynthia Villanova from Navarre headed to the Boston Marathon this year to raise money for a charity that helps people with developmental disabilities. Paul had run Boston twice before. Cynthia had not run Boston before but grew up in a town that is on the race route. They entered the race with different perspectives but agreed it was emotional for runners and spectators alike.

Hundreds of reptile enthusiasts packed the Days Inn Navarre Conference Center April 25 and 26 for the Third Annual Repticon Navarre Show. Repticon is a national leader in reptile and exotic pet shows. The show provides a venue for curious minds to see reptiles up close in a controlled environment through the live animal encounters.
