To capitalize on the trend, Gulf Power has launched an interactive website – floridafirstsites.com – which features 13 industrial properties in northwest Florida and four of them in Santa Rosa County.
When most people think about economic development, they think of companies choosing to locate and create jobs in a new community. But according to Bentina Terry from Gulf Power, recruiting new companies is only one part of economic development.
All area counties, as well as the State of Florida experienced increases in their unemployment rates from April to May 2014. Despite the increases, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties all sported jobless rates lower than the state and national averages, while Escambia County was only slightly higher.
