Tiger Point Ruby Tuesday closes, bank planned for site
Ruby Tuesday in Gulf Breeze has closed permanently.
The restaurant, located at 3805 Gulf Breeze Parkway, served the Tiger Point Community for close to 20 years. While the restaurant closed its doors at the end of May, plans are already in the works to replace the building.
Florida Power & Light ready for hurricane season

Holley Navarre Water System dispenses with ‘outdated’ developer regulation
An outdated policy requiring developers to install reclaimed water piping in new developments served by Holley Navarre Water System has been rescinded by the board of directors.
During the May HNWS board meeting, directors voted unanimously to rescind the 2017 resolution affecting developers. According to HNWS, the policy is “outdated” and no longer makes sense from both a regulatory and investment perspective.
Circle K the latest development plan for Town Center
A new gas station may be coming to Navarre Parkway.
Plans for a Circle K convenience store with a gas canopy were submitted to Santa Rosa County in May. The planned location is 8510 Navarre Parkway.
Midway Water legal fight takes turn, juror bias examined
In November 2025, a jury ruled in favor of plaintiffs in the Midway Water Crisis lawsuit.
The lawsuit was in response to reported damages caused by Midway Water System, Brown Construction of Northwest Florida and the City of Gulf Breeze for their roles in a 2021 incident where Brown Construction mistakenly connected a sewer line with a water line.
Haven Art Studio opens in Navarre
There is a new place to let your creative juices flow in Navarre!
Haven Art Studio, located at 9542 Navarre Parkway, recently held an open house event on May 16. Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce was on hand for a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The business officially opens June 1.

A bowling alley is coming to Gulf Breeze.
Oops Alley of Pace plans to open a new bowling alley, arcade and restaurant in The Funplex of Gulf Breeze building.
Developer proposes four-building apartment complex in Navarre
A developer has submitted plans to build four apartment buildings on a property west of River Run Road in Navarre. The apartment complex will be known as The Palmettos at Navarre.
The new plan is an update to previously submitted project plans. The property spans two parcels totaling 9.688 acres.
Tiger Point Taco Bell in the works
Tiger Point may soon be home to a Taco Bell restaurant.
Navarre CEFCO name changes, now Casey’s
CEFCO, which has expanded rapidly into Northwest Florida in the past five years, has a new name: Casey’s.
The Texas based convenience store chain was sold to Casey’s, a Midwest-based chain started in Iowa, in an all-cash transaction for $1.145 billion in 2024.
