A Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council (TDC) member is questioning what she calls premature use of a newly established fund designated for Navarre Beach renourishment projects.

Last December Santa Rosa County Commissioners voted to levy an additional one-cent bed tax for the purpose of beach restoration funding. That additional assessment started June 1 and generated more than $217,000 by Sept. 30 – the end of the 2013-2014 fiscal year.
While many beach residents are working to amend their lease fee agreements, the residents of Summerwind Condominiums have hired attorney John Cottle to present on their behalf at the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting Tuesday, Nov. 10.
