Santa Rosa County Animal Services is temporarily closing all cat adoption operations at the shelter facility until Friday, Dec. 27 due to illness.
Dog adoptions at the shelter are still open.
“The greatest concern at this point is preventing the spread to the unaffected cats,” said Animal Services Chief Randy Lambert.
The shelter will continue with scheduled offsite adoption events this week.
