Santa Rosa County approved the development of an Alvin’s Island store March 10. The store, which will be located at 8535 Gulf Blvd., is set to be 30,208 square feet.
The site plan includes 54 parking spaces, a stormwater management system and sidewalks, with a crosswalk to the bike trail across Gulf Boulevard.
Navarre Press first reported developer interest in bringing an Alvin’s Island to Navarre Beach in Jan. 2023. A follow-up article came out in Nov. 2023. According to initial plans for the development, Navarre Beach Alvin’s Island was supposed to be 12,600 square feet.
The developer bringing the project to Navarre Beach is Marco Destin, the company which operates Alvin’s Island stores. The 1000 Highway 98 East Corp., which is affiliated with Marco Destin, is listed as the property owner and has retained the property since 2005.
The property is directly in front of The Navarre Beach Regency Condominiums.
