Ashton Hayward, III, former mayor of Pensacola, will begin serving as president of the Andrews Institute Research & Education Foundation (AREF) effective Jan. 7, 2019. The leadership of AREF selected the former Pensacola mayor to direct the AREF’s efforts to fulfill the mission of being an international leader in bringing new and groundbreaking solutions to sports medicine through research and education.
