From car wash to a medical clinic – that is progress. Several months ago, I lamented in my column regarding the two car washes that were building just blocks from each other. The car wash owners that were building on the west corner of Navarre Parkway and Harvest Village Court saw the writing on the wall and stopped the infrastructure work and put a “For Sale” sign up. Thankfully, the corner lot sold very quickly. There couldn’t have been a better scenario. Two different Realtors made a commission in a short amount of time, and the proposed car wash owners realized a return on their investment and Navarre will have a much-needed medical facility. Icing on the cake – it is right down the road from Navarre Press. More reasons to stop by, visit Inkie, renew your subscription or just chat.

We have a story in this issue which is a follow up on another story we wrote regarding the US Geological Survey Researchers who visited Navarre Beach to tag our resident sea turtles at the artificial reefs to help better understand their migration patterns.

The artificial reef system that is being installed in phases running perpendicular to the Navarre Beach pier is 1 mile from shore and when complete will be 2 miles long. This $1.2 million project will bring additional fish habitats closer to the pier – and the anglers including Kayakers.

I hope you are keeping up with our Pigskin Pickin’ and Prognosticatin’ Panel. Bill Hammel is currently up front, but Stacey Wright, Tony Carter and Sam Parker are not far behind and then not far behind them are Jayer Williamson, Jay Walls and Howie Rounsaville. Check them out on page 3C of this issue.
