Looking for the freshest seafood on the Gulf Coast? Or maybe your craving some authentic New Orleans cuisine? Make your way on down to Where Y’at Seafood Market & Restaurant, where you can find local seafood sourced straight from our neighborhood and taste delicious food that will bring you back to Bourbon Street.

Where Y’at is a staple in the community and loves getting involved in festivals and Emerald Coast events. They will be set up on Alcaniz Alley at the Pensacola Seafood Festival Sept. 27-29, serving Smoked Alligator stuffed with Boudin.

You can also catch Where Y’at at the Taste of Gulf Breeze Oct. 4 serving their award-winning Seafood Lasagna. They will also be catering multiple community events, such as the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center Soirée and the Holley Navarre Fire Department Annual Awards Banquet at The Club at Hidden Creek.

Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it and what better way to celebrate than Cajun-style?

Where Y’at specializes in catering, and it doesn’t have to be for a big fancy event either. They offer catering for any type of party from holiday office parties, birthdays and retirements to weddings and rehearsal dinners. They serve seafood boils with crab legs, shrimp and crawfish (when it’s in season), jambalaya, etouffee, gumbo and much more. Where Y’at can bring anything from their menu to your next party in bulk. Customize your catering orders by choosing your favorites a la carte. Call 833-3328328 and press option 6 for catering to request a personalized quote for your needs.

The restaurant has partnered with local fishermen to provide their customers with the freshest seafood possible. You can now eat fish caught locally THAT DAY at Where Y’at Seafood.

Another option at Where Y’at is “Cook Your Catch.” After a long day of fishing, you can bring your fish directly to the restaurant and they will cook it for you for simply $8/person. Sides can be purchased a la carte to go along with your meal.

It is definitely a family affair, says owner Paul Ruiz. His son Courtney Lumpkin manages the kitchen for the restaurant and son Will Lumpkin manages the seafood market.

Plenty of fresh seafood items are available in the market, including Alaskan halibut and swordfish. Copper River Alaskan Sockeye Salmon is in full swing with salmon being flown in from Alaska.

Everything screams local with Where Y’at. From sourcing fish, crab and shrimp directly from Emerald Coast fishermen to carrying local hot sauces, dip and products from Louisiana, Where Y’at Seafood loves working with its community members.

And the food is all made from scratch. That’s how you know it’s fresh and delicious. All their sauces, boudin, egg rolls, gumbo, etouffee, red beans and corn and crab soup is made from scratch in the kitchen. They bring in their Leidenheimer French Bread straight from NOLA for po’boys with Patton’s Hot Sausage. This food is authentic Cajun and you have to taste it for yourself.

Enjoy live music every Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. from talented musicians like Chris Beverly, who plays a collection of rock and 90s or David “Jukebox” Butler who plays just about any song you can think of on the piano.

Stay tuned to the restaurant’s Facebook for their upcoming events and live music.
