AF Special Operations Command receives first AC-130J

The first AC-130J Ghostrider landed at Hurlburt Field July 29, making it Air Force Special Operations Command’s first AC-130J.

The aircrews of the 1st Special Operations Group Detachment 2 were hand selected from the AC-130 community for their operational expertise and will begin initial operational testing and evaluation of the AC-130J later this year.
