Children’s Hospital’s expanded NICU welcomes first baby

At a little more than 1 month old, Nathaniel Bowersox celebrated a major milestone with The Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart. Nathaniel became the first baby to move into the facility’s expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Megan Bowersox watches over her son, Nathaniel, who, on March 11, became the first baby to move into the expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at The Children’s Hospital. This $1 million addition of 12 Level III beds – the highest level of neonatal care available – was constructed on the third floor of the main hospital. All of the new NICU rooms are private, with one family per room.
