Slow down, save chicks

Endangered shorebirds began their annual nesting along the Navarre Beach Causeway Bridge a few weeks ago, and a variety of efforts are now underway to keep them and their soon-to-be-hatched chicks safe from motorists.
Santa Rosa County crews last week posted reduced speed limit signs on a portion of the Navarre Beach Causeway Bridge near the nesting area for endangered shorebirds.
