Keeping structures safe from fires

Florida Forest Service (FFS) crews responded to seven separate wildfires in north Santa Rosa County, totaling more than 180 acres Wednesday, May7. According to FFS, one structure was threatened by crews were able to use tractors to create a line between the fire and the home. The Bagdad Volunteer Fire Department and Avalon Fire Rescue were also dispatched in support of the forest service.
Firefighters last week responded to a seven wildfires in north Santa Rosa County totaling more than 180 acres.
