Lauren’s Kids walk Highway 98 for sexual abuse prevention

Lauren Book, founder of Lauren’s Kids, was a victim of childhood sexual abuse for six years at the hands of her nanny. Armed with the knowledge that 95 percent of sexual abuse is preventable through education, Lauren sought to turn her experience into a vehicle to prevent childhood sexual abuse and heal survivors.
Lauren’s Kids, an organization that provides childhood sexual abuse educational and awareness materials statewide, passed through the Navarre area last Thursday for Walk in My Shoes. Founder Lauren Book is walking 1,500 miles across Florida raising awareness for sexual abuse prevention.
