Navarre Park boardwalk closed

The Santa Rosa County Public Works Department closed a boardwalk in Navarre Park earlier this month due to concerns the structure was unsafe. The county must now determine whether the boardwalk should be removed or whether it should be replaced.
Santa Rosa County crews March 11 closed a boardwalk in Navarre Park, which they deemed unsafe. The boardwalk begins behind the Panhandle Butterfly House and passes beneath the Navarre Beach Bridge but does not connect to land east of the bridge.
