Navarre Beach lifeguards deal with flag color unawareness

Despite numerous red flag days and drownings in nearby South Walton, Navarre Beach has remained free of major incidents this season. However, that doesn’t mean that the lifeguards watching over Navarre Beach haven’t been busy.
The Swisher family takes cover from the rain under a picnic cover last Monday on Navarre Beach. The Swishers were not allowing their children to go into the water at all, not even ankle-deep, because of the conditions.
