Before every lift, T.J. Woodberry has his headphones in his ears and paces back and forth, shutting out everything around him as he focuses in on the challenge before him.
The Navarre senior’s focus was on point Monday afternoon and he had no trouble conquering the latest challenge, winning the 129-pound weight division at the state qualifier at Navarre High School.
Woodberry has been waiting two years for the opportunity to return to the state meet. The wait is over and the next stop is Kissimmee April 17.
The last time he was at state, he finished fifth in the 139-pound division.
