“Well, she looks good but she shows her age. She’s over 40 years old,” Neil Lloyd said.
He was busy making last-minute improvements to his red 1972 Oldsmobile 442 before judging started at noon at the 14th annual Navarre Beach Car, Truck & Bike Show hosted at Navarre High School on Oct. 18.
The event featured cars, trucks and bikes, new and old, from at least a 100-mile radius. The 80-degree, clear day provided near perfect weather for a car show. It was certainly an improvement over last year’s event, which featured a car show nightmare: rain.
“We’ve got a record number of pre-registrants. There will be a mad rush at 12 o’clock, there always is,” said Angela Campbell, who added they were up to 78 by 10 a.m. That number grew to 107 before registration closed, also a record number.
