Navarre animal rehab now testing for lead in birds
At Sandspur Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation in Navarre, Anna Hackney cares for a wide range of animals. Over the past nine years, she has taken in mammals and reptiles, but her work has focused largely on rescuing and rehabilitating shorebirds and birds of prey.
Master Gardeners host rose bush and grape pruning demo
The Master Gardeners of Santa Rosa County will be demonstrating how to prune grape vines and rose bushes at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. The class will take place in the gardens at the county extension office, located at 6263 Dogwood Drive in Milton.
