Freezing temperatures coming to Santa Rosa County this weekend

Bundle up Navarre, it’s going to get cold this weekend.

A strong cold front will make its way through Northwest Florida Friday night into Saturday morning bringing a chance of thunderstorms across the area including potential for damaging winds, large hail, and a couple tornadoes.

A Freeze Warning is in effect from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday. A Wind Advisory remains in effect from midnight Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday. Bring in plants, secure outdoor objects and use extra caution when driving.

A Freeze Warning has been issued for northwest Florida from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday. Sub-freezing temperatures in the lower to mid 20s are expected along and north of the I-10 corridor and in the upper 20s to around 32 degrees near the immediate coast, according to the National Weather Service.
