25-year-old Gulf Breeze woman’s death now being investigated as homicide

A Gulf Breeze woman’s suspicious death has been upgraded to a homicide by investigators.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call regarding an unresponsive individual in the area of Santa Rosa Drive and Redwood Lane in Gulf Breeze Nov. 25. Upon arrival to the residence, deputies confirmed the subject was dead.

The woman has been identified as Reagan Barber, 25.

The agency’s Major Crimes Unit, which is spearheading the investigation, said they have a person of interest in the case and are actively following leads.

The investigation remains active, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 850-983-1190.
