Attention Parents: Avoid that familiar complaint from your children this summer, “I’m bored!” Summer is the perfect time for children to “set sail for the library” and “dive into a great book.” Participants in the 2010 Summer Reading Program will explore the world of water and water fun through stories, songs, games and other activities about oceans, rivers, lakes, and pools and the creatures that live there.

Alabama man charged in death of Navarre father

An Alabama man, whom Florida Highway Patrol believes caused a three-car collision on May 1 resulting in the death of Navarre dad Johnny Robinson, turned himself in to Escambia sheriff’s on Thursday.

Chamber gets approval for July 4th concert on beach

The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is set to continue its Thursday in the Park concert series with a special July 4^th event on the eastern part of the parking lot behind Cocodrie’s — the same general area where Fun Fest was staged.
