Brewer make the most of all-star opportunity

Tim Brewer isn’t sure if he’ll get a chance to play basketball beyond high school, but if the Subway All-Star Game Thursday was his final hurrah, he went out giving his best effort.

“This could be the last time playing for all I know. I’m going to take advantage of every opportunity, live life to the fullest every time I get on the court,” Brewer said.

Raiders give state-ranked Timberwolves all they can handle

Four quarters and four overtime periods were intense from start to finish, with neither Navarre nor Chiles giving much to the other in the way of opportunities to score.

The Raiders, in fact, held a lead over the state-ranked Timberwolves most of the way in a crucial District 1-2A flag football showdown on a warm and cloudy afternoon at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

UWF football schedule features several marquee matchups

An opener against Division I McNeese State, a battle against the 2017 national champs and finale against Gulf South Conference rival Valdosta State are among the games on tap for the University of West Florida football team during the 2021 season.

The Argonauts are the reigning national champions in NCAA Division II and are gearing up to play for the first time since 2019 when they defeated Minnesota State for the at McKinney ISD Stadium in Texas.

Navarre gymnast signs with top-ranked Gators

Bri Edwards started out doing ballet. It wasn’t long before the Gulf Coast Gymnastics star and Navarre High senior discovered that maybe it wasn’t the best fit.

“I was a bit too energetic for ballet,” Edwards said with a laugh. “I had a friend that was doing gymnastics and I signed up to do it with her.”
