Night to Shine

Hundreds turn out to cheer special prom guests

It might have rained on this parade, but it didn’t matter. Hundreds of people in the community came out Feb. 12 to shower the special needs guests of Night to Shine with love and support. There were 64 guests and close to 250 volunteers, all of whom celebrated in the rain Friday night.

10 years later: Ian Lockwood’s legacy still changing lives

Denise Lockwood still gets phone calls and messages from those who knew her son. Some send flowers on her birthday. Others drop in to say hello when they are in town.

Even former Florida Gator football players who listened to Ian Lockwood speak the morning of the Outback Bowl a decade ago still keep in contact with Denise, reminders of how inspiring her son truly was.
