Sunset Stampede 5K avoids storm

Although the race director was considering cancelling Saturday’s 11th annual Sunset Stampede 5-kilometer run, the storm clouds made a quick departure and left cool temperatures in its wake.

More than 220 runners and walkers headed west down Gulf Boulevard on Navarre Beach on a 3.1-mile trek.
