Summer days may seem like a dog’s paradise as more family members are home, the weather allows for sunbathing and even water fun for those pups that enjoy it. However, veterinarians warn that summer also presents several potential problems for pets.
Sharon Godwin and Mr. Dubs try to beat the heat on a summer walk. “When I take him for long walks I carry a diaper bag for him where I keep his water and a bowl because he does get really hot. I also have him groomed every two weeks because he sheds,” she said. “He loves it.”
