A Navarre woman is being held on a bond of $1 million for allegedly sexually assaulting a child on video.
Brandy Howard, 33, of Raider Lane in Navarre was arrested April 18 after video and images involving children were recovered by law enforcement.
An investigation was prompted by information sent by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of a possible exploitation case, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
In a video file recovered by law enforcement, Howard is allegedly seen performing sexual acts on a child under the age of 12.
Metadata from the recovered files led to an address on Raider Lane associated with Howard.
The arrest report also references social media accounts associated with Howard and several nude images of young girls recovered during the investigation into Howard. Much of the report is redacted.
In a sworn interview with deputies, Howard initially denied sending any of the photos and any knowledge of the making the video. The rest of her interview is redacted.
According to the arrest report, the incidents occurred between January and June 2018.
Howard is charged with two counts of felony sexual assault on a child under 12 years old. She remains in Santa Rosa County Jail as of April 24.
