Navarre scores another top ranking — this time for fishing

| Staff Reporters
An international fishing blog has named Navarre as the No. 2 fall fishing destination, in part due to the Navarre Fishing Rodeo, which takes place Oct. 2 and 3.

FishingBooker is a blog that connects anglers and fishing guides. According to an announcement from FishingBooker, Navarre deserved its spot near the top of the list for both the area and the fishing opportunities.

“If you’re feeling up for some friendly competition in a beautiful setting, Navarre Fishing Rodeo (October 2–3) could be just the thing for you, the organization said. “Navarre in itself needs no introduction. Nestled on the threshold of the Gulf of Mexico, this beachside community offers a fantastic fishing diversity.”

The announcement goes on to explain the various divisions, including the opportunity it offers to junior anglers.

“If you don’t feel like leaving solid ground, don’t worry!” the announcement continues. “Head to the longest fishing pier on the Gulf Coast, the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier – measuring 1,545 feet. From there, you can spend the day enjoying the bite or having a wonderful time with your family.”

There’s still time to register for next weekend’s Navarre Fishing Rodeo. Go to navarrefishingrodeo.com/

Earlier this month, Navarre was named one of the top 50 best places to live by Money.
