A Navarre man was arrested Feb. 25 for an alleged sexual assault of an 11 year old in 2017.
Dawson Jeremy Santos, 20, was arrested for the August 2017 incident after the child’s mother reported her older daughter had told her what had occurred. The location of the incident has been redacted.
According to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the victim, now 12, told deputies in 2018 that Santos took her to a bedroom and forced her onto the bed. The victim told deputies that Santos took off his pants and took her clothes off.
She told him no multiple times and kicked him according to her witness statement. He then allegedly pressed his genitals to hers, but she kicked him away.
In a sworn interview with deputies in Oct. 2018, Santos denied the allegations. He was arrested Feb. 25.
Santos is charged with first degree felony sexual assault. He was released from Santa Rosa County Jail on $75,000 bond.
