Inmate’s family awarded nearly $1.8 million

The family of a Santa Rosa County Jail inmate who hung himself while on suicide watch was awarded more than $1.7 million by a jury in federal court.
Beginning Mon., Mar. 14, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will host the USPCA Region 1 Field Trials. There are activities at Gulf Breeze High School and Navarre High School throughout the week long event.
