Holley Navarre Water System pursues articles of incorporation change

“The bylaws of the corporation shall be made and may be altered or rescinded by a vote of the majority of the membership” – Article IX of Holley Navarre Water System’s Articles of Incorporation. This section of the articles of incorporation have been a sticking point for the past several months for the HNWS board of directors. Earlier this summer, the board expressed interest in creating a committee to review and consider amending certain bylaws of the corporation. As it turned out, the board will likely have to amend the articles of incorporation before looking at changing bylaws.
HNWS approved a change in their articles of incorporation at their August meeting. The change should allow the company to more readily change their bylaws.
