The election will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. This year, two of the seven Directors’ terms have expired and there is a vacant seat. Two directors serving 3-year terms and one vacant seat serving a two-year term. The Directors whose terms have expired are David Crumbley and Mike Matthews.
Interested Candidates
All candidates applying for Board of Director positions shall present:
1) A notification of interest (application) endorsed by 25 sponsoring active members, with permission to publicize the interview question responses,
2) A short personal biography (100-word max) with permission to publicize the same, as well as
3) An authorization for a background check.
Candidate applications may be picked up at the Corporate Office, 8574 Turkey Bluff Rd, beginning October 7, 2025, and must be personally filed at the Corporate Office no later than 4 p.m. October 31, 2025.
There will be a “Special Open Board Meeting” on November 12, 2025, at 6 p.m. to approve candidates.
Proxy and Absentee Voting
Proxy and Absentee voting is from Dec. 3, 2025, to Jan. 7, 2026. Proxies and absentee ballots will be available upon request by calling (850) 939-2427 ext. 237, by email to election@hnws-fl.com, or by coming in person to the Corporate Office at 8574 Turkey Bluff Road.
Any and all Proxy and Absentee Voting member or spouse requests will be requested to verify active membership with their WIPP PIN or driver’s license. The deadline to mail voter requests from HNWS is Dec. 19, 2025.
