The City of Gulf Breeze is taking on the task of placing a portion of U.S. 98’s powerlines underground through a project years in the making. The Utility Underground Conversion Project, which was laid out in the 2018 community redevelopment plan, began to take off in 2021 when funding and planning began to come to fruition.
