First responders, Navarre community participate in 9/11 Stair Climb

Dozens of first responders and citizens gathered at the towers of Summerwind Condominiums Friday morning, Sept. 11, for the annual 9/11 Stair Climb in remembrance of the first responders who died during the terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C.

Midway Capt. Levi Alderfer ascends the stairs at one of Summerwind Condo’s towers on Navarre Beach. He was one of many firefighters to participate in the 2026 9/11 Stair Climb.
