The Florida Department of Transportation estimates resurfacing work on Highway 87 S will be completed by winter 2026. Construction on the project began in late 2025.
The section of roadway being resurfaced stretches 2.376 miles from East Bay Boulevard to Highway 98. According to FDOT, the current roadway project costs $2.5 million.
