Alison Marie Kowal, 29, of the 100 block of Rose Marie Lane in Fort Walton Beach was arrested for allegedly threatening a woman with brass knuckles.
On Sept. 22, the victim was allegedly involved in a traffic accident with Kowal’s mother on Navarre Parkway, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. The two were parked in the median when another vehicle pulled up at the scene, driven by Kowal.
The victim was in her car when Kowal allegedly approached her window carrying dark metallic knuckles.
Kowal then allegedly threatened to beat up the victim. She then allegedly threatened to get a gun and kill the victim, according to the report. The victim stayed in her vehicle and was in fear for her life, according to the report.
When the deputy arrived, Kowal denied that she had gotten out of her vehicle and denied having brass knuckles.
According to the report, she said, “You can search it, sir. I don’t have any brass knuckles.” The deputy found brass knuckles in Kowal’s center console. She stated she did not know they were in the car and thought the knuckles were in her mother’s car.
The victim provided a description of the weapon without being shown the knuckles, according to the deputy. And Kowal’s mother told the deputy that Kowal did get out her vehicle and approach the victim’s car.
Kowal was arrested Oct. 16 and charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was released from Santa Rosa County Jail on $5,000 bond.
