Cold temps stun sea turtles

Sea turtles have made several headlines recently as the cold water temperatures have taken their toll on the protected species.
FWC Officers and a volunteer from the Loggerhead Marine Life Center (LMC) released 21 sea turtle hatchlings today in Palm Beach County. There were 18 loggerheads and three green sea turtles. For a variety of reasons these turtles were not able to make it into the ocean on their own. Rough seas were a problem for many of them. LMC and FWC took the turtles off-shore to ensure a safe release.
