CERT Search and Rescue training takes over Bear Lake trails
If you were at Bear Lake, the popular recreation area in Blackwater State Forest, on Sunday, June 2, you might have noticed multiple Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office K9s and large groups of people carrying out individuals on makeshift stretchers.
One of the three groups of CERT volunteers who trained at Bear Lake over the weekend. In addition to the trainees, Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office brought three K9s for the search and rescue simulation.
