It was the first day of batting practice with the Windy City ThunderBolts and Michael Sandle, in his words, ‘made a horrible read’ in centerfield.
“I was running and the ball flies over my head,” Sandle said. It was a reset moment where I’m like, alright, I’m back in it (pro baseball). I really take pride in defense as much as I do my offense.”

You could feel the energy on the field and sideline. Even in the stands as the fans cheered. It felt like Navarre football again after the Raiders blocked a punt on Mosley’s opening drive at Bennett C. Russell Stadium Friday night.
