Navarre’s boys golf team has a good deal of experience heading into the 2025 season.


Leading the way is Logun Toney, who didn’t golf last season but was with the Raiders as a freshman and sophomore.

Navarre will be playing its first home game of the season on the road.


Due to field issues at Bennett C. Russell Stadium, the Raiders’ game against Pensacola Catholic on Friday is set to be played at Gulf Breeze. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Pensacola Ice Flyers acquired Brent Moran and Weiland Parrish earlier this summer from the Quad City Storm.

Michael Sandle continues to be effective at the plate for the Frontier League’s Windy City Thunderbolts.


Sandle has appeared in 83 games this season for the Thunderbolts, batting .279.

Michael Carter was on the field for the Arizona Cardinals’ preseason game against Denver on Saturday.

Bryce Wheeler remembers going to Navarre Raider football games when he was younger and watching Grady Kelly dominate on Friday nights.


Kelly is now a defensive lineman at Michigan State and Wheeler has drawn comparisons to one of the school’s all-time greats.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy got its season started on a high note Friday night, beating Rocky Bayou 22-14.

Quentin Randolph is having the greatest season of his pro football career, and that has not gone unnoticed as the former Navarre Raider has been named an All-Indoor Football League selection.


Randolph, who has shined in the bright lights of Las Vegas for the Knight Hawks, earned first team honors on Saturday.

Navarre head football coach Garrett Bagley gathered his team in the locker room after Friday night’s Kickoff Classic against Pensacola was canceled and told the players to flip the negative into a positive.


As much as they wanted to play ball against an actual opponent under the lights at Bennett C. Russell Stadium, even if it was the preseason, they had to move on and get ready for next week’s season opener.

Former Navarre Raider Tyrell Marshall didn’t play his freshman football season at the University of West Florida, though it wasn’t an empty season by any stretch of the imagination.


Marshall still put in work in practice and learned a lot along the way.
