Tori Martino is four months removed from a devastating ACL tear that wiped out her senior soccer season.

Three Navarre athletes placed in the top 10 in their respective events at the Florida State University Relays over the weekend in Tallahassee. The meet featured top athletes from all over the state.

The end of the season girls’ soccer banquet was held March 14. The program started with the recognition of the academic achievements. For the seventh year in a row, the team was recognized by the NSCAA Team Academic All Americans.

Royce Thomas missed out on qualifying for the regional track meet a year ago in the long jump. The disappointment has served as motivation for the Navarre senior track standout.

Navarre’s football team will open its 2017 season Aug. 25 when it plays host to Pensacola Catholic.

Devin Wright said he has always been fast but has never had a chance to display that speed on the track in a competition against other schools.

Friends and family gathered March 6 to pay tribute to the 2017 State Champion Navarre Raiders’ Weightlifting team. It was another great season for the Raiders as they captured their third consecutive state championship and their fourth in the last five years.

Navarre’s boys weightlifting team didn’t win a regional championship Monday afternoon. Nor did the Raiders have any of their lifters take first in their respective weight class.

Navarre’s baseball team traveled to Bonifay last Tuesday to face Holmes County. The trip was made even longer due to the fact that the game went extra innings. It was worth it though, because Navarre came away with their third straight win, rolling to an 11-3 victory.
