Only one starter returned for Navarre’s offensive line this season. Youth and inexperience can be challenging to overcome, especially against a contender like Crestview, which has strength, size and experience.

Late in the fourth quarter Thursday night, a University of West Florida victory all but secured, Navarre’s own Quentin Randolph turned to the crowd behind the end zone and saw some of his hometown boys.

Somewhere in heaven, Darnell Deas is looking down on his friend, Chris Williams, and his face is lit up with that infectious smile he was known for during in his time on this Earth.
