Navarre’s quest for a three-peat at state in girls weightlifting came up short Saturday evening at the RP Funding in Lakeland.

The Raiders, aiming to continue their run of consecutive titles in the traditional competition, ended up third overall despite a solid all-around effort. It’s only the sixth time in the 19-year history of the state meet that Navarre didn’t finish first or second.
