The Holley Navarre Water System Inc. (HNWS) will hold its 55TH Annual Membership Meeting and Election of Directors on January 21, 2025, in the Corporate Office, Board Room, at 8574 Turkey Bluff Road. The election will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. This year, three of the seven Directors’ terms have expired, with two directors serving 3-year terms and one serving a two-year term. These Directors are Joe Campbell, Don Linnell, and Daryl Lynchard.

Just like in life, things don’t always go smoothly in the world of Electrathon racing.

Electrathon, a race of electric go-karts built and managed by students, is all about finishing the most laps as possible, while balancing battery usage and speed.

A new subdivision is being planned for a site next door to Holley Navarre Water System’s “Greskovich” RIBs, or rapid infiltration basin system, site near Williams Creek. The RIBs site, which is across Williams Creek from Holley Navarre Middle School, is a spray field for treated wastewater.

The Gulf Breeze Zoo will host a field trip day for homeschoolers and their families on Friday, Sept. 20. Homeschool families will receive discounted tickets and meet other homeschool families all while learning from animal experts. 

The 2024-25 Great Outdoors Initiative meant to increase public access, recreation and lodging at Florida State Parks has been met with mixed emotions and backlash since it was announced by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection on Aug. 19. Now the plan is likely heading back to the drawing board.
