Court date set for Girl Scout troop leader
A Navarre Girl Scout troop leader charged with grand theft and fraud is scheduled to appear in court April 17 for a criminal arraignment. Circuit Court Judge John F. Miller, Jr., will preside over the hearing for 39-year-old Sherrie Meier of Navarre.

Paddlers journey around Florida coast
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) announced March 28 that two retired police officers from Charlotte completed a four-month journey kayaking from Big Lagoon State Park near Pensacola to Fort Clinch State Park just south of the Georgia border on the Atlantic coast.
