Tommy’s Sno Balls in Navarre is about to get a new neighbor.

On Oct. 18, Santa Rosa County Development Services approved a development order for a new hotel on the southside of Highway 98, just east of the foot of the Navarre Beach Causeway. The new hotel, which is a Residence Inn by Marriott, will be four stories tall, 88,110 square feet and have approximately 105 rooms, according to current plans. The address is 8600 Navarre Parkway.

Nelson-Jameson opened this year’s contest in June, in honor of National Dairy Month, and contest participants submitted original artwork or photos that represent and celebrate dairy.
